So I think someone should write some crackfic where she and the now-Emperor arrange for her to fake her death (or live in seclusion for a while, that's okay too!), so she can travel, and she runs into Mei Changsu / Lin Shu, who also has faked his death, and Hijinks Ensue.

I remember feeling so sorry for her. She clearly had a rich life as a traveling doctor, but one day the Emperor decides he wants her and, welp! That's it! Now she's stuck at the palace forever! Bleah. Like being on permanent quarantine. >_<
