Anyone up for some kind of November pseudo-Nanowrimo writing challenge? I'm jonesing for a finish-a-thon, or some kind of low bar "fingers to keyboard" peer pressure deal.

Sure! ...I think there's a community like this on LJ (which I'm never on anymore, because LJ sucks). I wonder if other people in DW yuletide would find it useful? If you do make one, and are interested in others using it, maybe advertise on the DW yuletide comm?
